Man Utd to finally reward Amad Diallo! Club in 'advanced talks' over new contract with hope of finalising deal before end of 2024

Diallo's existing contract at Old Trafford runs until June 30, 2025, though the club have the option to extend it by one more season. ESPN report that United are planning to tie down the youngster with a long-term contract and are in 'advanced talks' with the player. They are trying to reach an agreement with him before the end of 2024.

The 22-year-old has been in the limelight for his heroics in the Manchester derby on Sunday. After captain Bruno Fernandes brought United on level terms at Manchester City with an 88th-minute penalty strike, the youngster scored a brilliant second goal to seal crucial three points for his side at Etihad Stadium.

The Red Devils have been internally discussing Diallo's contract extension ever since Ruben Amorim replaced Erik ten Hag as manager. The club consider the Ivory Coast international as an important player for the present as well as the future.

A rejuvenated United side will next face Tottenham Hotspur in a Carabao Cup quarter-final on Thursday before meeting Bournemouth in the Premier League on Sunday.
