    United made the 21-year-old England international their primary defensive transfer target in the upcoming summer window, however, talkSPORT reports that the club could now consider pulling out of the move as they consider Everton's asking price for the player extremely high.

    The report claims that the Toffees are demanding a fee in the region of £70m (€83m/$89m) which the Red Devils' new co-owners Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his INEOS group are unlikely to match. It is believed that Ratcliffe is against continuing the club's old tradition of overpaying in the transfer market.
