  • Man Utd having dismal WSL season
  • Coach Skinner out of contract this summer
  • But report says INEOS have offered new deal
  • WHAT HAPPENED?

United were title contenders in the 2022-23 campaign, reached a maiden Women's FA Cup final and qualified for the Women's Champions League for the first time, too. However, they've struggled to back that success up this year, sitting six points off the European places with four Women's Super League games remaining.

With several players out of contract this summer, none more high-profile than England No.1 Mary Earps, it has fans worried about who might opt to stay at the club and what the future looks like.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Supporters have not been afraid to show their discontent at how things have been going either, some even chanting 'Skinner out' at games this season. However, it appears that new part-owners INEOS, who have taken control of football operations at the club, are set to hand the 41-year-old a new contract, according to the Athletic.

The report says that terms have not yet been agreed but that talks are ongoing and both parties are keen to come to an agreement, with Skinner's current deal set to expire at the end of this season.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

Despite a poor season, United do at least have a chance at repeating their run to the FA Cup final after making it to the semi-finals of the competition. However, doing so will mean taking down Chelsea, the team that beat them in the showpiece event at Wembley last May.
