United have broken down each coach's role, with Fernandes coming in as assistant head coach. The Red Devils claim he is Amorim's "right-hand man" at the age of 29, having worked with him at both Braga and Casa Pia. Vital comes in as a goalkeeping coach, while Ferro will work as a first-team coach. Barreira returns to England as a physical performance coach, as he was previously employed by Arsenal and Liverpool. Candido will also work as a first-team coach but United have confirmed that his appointment is still subject to receiving a visa.
AFPWHAT NEXT?
United will hope to finalise the appointment of Candido so that the quintet can get to work supporting Amorim. They face Ipswich at Portman Road on November 24.
