  • WHAT RATCLIFFE SAID

New United co-owner Ratcliffe, who is Britain’s richest man, has added his voice to those. A montage video from BBC Sport shows the INEOS chief saying: “All the very best of luck on Sunday and I sincerely hope that you are successful. Luke, please don’t pull your hamstring again!”

Southgate is unlikely to take any risks on Shaw’s fitness but is also eager to get better balance in his side – with natural right-back Kieran Trippier having filled in on the left throughout Euro 2024.
