WHAT HAPPENED?
Littler is a Manchester United fan who shot to fame in the PDC World Championships, as he reached the final at the age of 16, where he lost to Luke Humphries. He was subsequently invited to Old Trafford to visit his United heroes, and on Thursday, Newcastle players were in attendance as he lost to Michael van Gerwen in the Premier League's semi-final.

Newcastle have been in reasonable form in the Premier League in recent weeks, going four unbeaten, but they remain eighth in the table, 12 points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa. Littler, by comparison, will have to dust himself down and go again after his last-four defeat.
