WHAT HAPPENED?
The goalkeeper and midfielder wore odd socks to mark the global awareness day and posed for an image that Toone posted on Instagram. She wrote: "Rock your odd socks for World Down Syndrome Day."

Toone had previously shown off her mismatched pair to promote the day which has been recognised by the United Nations since 2012 and takes place on March 21. The 2023 Women's World Cup runner-up then took to the training field alongside her United co-stars.
