Is Lionel Messi a secret Tottenham fan? Argentine GOAT likes Cristian Romero's Instagram post proclaiming 'London is white'

Romero captained his side to victory against Manchester United in Bilbao and posted an image of the victory parade, claiming "London is white". Messi took notice, liking his international team-mate's post.

In full, Romero's post read: "London is white. The only way to get my name engraved in this club was like this. We deserved this. Thank you all for the love as always!"

Messi and Romero won the 2022 World Cup together for Argentina, with the Tottenham defender now adding the Europa League to his trophy cabinet. The pair could have played together at club level, too, with Messi reportedly requesting that Barcelona sign the defender back in 2021.

Romero could feature as Tottenham finish their Premier League campaign with a game against Brighton on Sunday, while Messi's Inter Miami next play against Montreal Impact in MLS on Thursday.
