    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Leading the charge in these discussions is newly appointed sporting director Andrea Berta, who took over last month and has played a central role in advancing negotiations. It is believed Trossard has made it clear that continuing his career at Arsenal remains his top priority. Despite the lucrative offers coming from the Middle East, the 30-year-old has reaffirmed his commitment to Mikel Arteta’s project and reportedly informed the club that he sees his future at the Emirates Stadium.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

Over the course of his Arsenal career so far, Trossard has made 123 appearances in all competitions. During that span, he has scored 28 goals, consistently contributing in key moments for the team. The agreement would mark another successful retention for Arsenal as they look to secure the long-term futures of the core group.

With the Gunners wrapping up a confirmed second-place finish in the Premier League this season, the manager is expected to rotate players and experiment with lineups during the final game against Southampton on Sunday. Hence, it remains to be seen if Trossard is risked in a dead rubber fixture against the Saints.
