The England international was a revelation for Los Blancos during his debut campaign at Santigo Bernabeu, hitting 23 goals en route to claiming La Liga and Champions League titles. Those exploits put the 21-year-old midfielder in Ballon d’Or contention.
Bellingham was back among the goals in Real’s 4-0 demolition of Osasuna – as Vinicius Junior bagged a hat-trick – and told reporters afterwards when addressing his lack of end product: “I played as I always do, but this time I scored a goal. There was a lot of talk about me because I scored a lot of goals last season, but my role has changed this season to other areas of the pitch.
“I will do anything for the good of the team. I have been less selfish and I would like to continue like this. My objective is to help the team in any way I can.”
