    As ex-United star and celebrated pundit Gary Neville turned 50 on Tuesday, his former colleague at Old Trafford, Beckham sent out a heartfelt message for his close friend on social media. The duo shared a dressing room at Old Trafford from 1992 to 2003 before the winger moved out to join Real Madrid.

    Taking to Instagram, the Inter Miami co-owner uploaded two photographs of himself with Neville from their United days as his story and wrote: "Happy 50th mate. Couldn't have asked for a better friend to always be there for me." In the second story, he wrote: "We did it all. Love u mate, Happy 50th."

    Neville, along with his brother Phil and three other Red Devils stars, Nicky Butt, Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes, acquired 10 per cent stakes each at lower division side Salford City and the remaining 50 per cent was owned by Singaporean businessman Peter Lim. In 2019, Beckham joined his fellow 'Class of 92' members and bought 10 per cent stake from Lim. Last August, Neville bought out the entire holdings of Lim to become the majority owner of the League Two side.
