'How can you get that one wrong?!' - Furious Ian Wright left in disbelief by costly refereeing decision as West Ham are downed by Aston Villa in Graham Potter's first game
Furious Ian Wright slammed the referee on air as a wrong decision helped Aston Villa clinch a win over West Ham in the FA Cup.
Graham Potter suffered a disappointing loss in his debut game as West Ham boss on Friday as Aston Villa clinched a narrow win in the third round of the FA Cup. Lucas Paqueta handed the Hammers an early lead before Amadou Onana restored parity in the 71st minute and Morgan Rogers then scored the winner five minutes later.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Onana, who scored the equaliser from a corner, sparked controversy in the second half as the Villans were wrongly given the corner. Onana had earlier hit a shot that went out of play with no one touching the ball. Wright was left fuming on air as he questioned the referee for 'messing up' the decision that eventually helped the hosts clinch a victory.
WHAT IAN WRIGHT SAID
Speaking on ITV, the ex-Arsenal star said: "I can’t believe the referee, he’s standing there. He’s standing right there and it’s gone through a gap of people and he’s not seen it. Look, no one is near it - how can you get that one wrong? West Ham were in this. Yes, they had to defend a bit because Villa got on top but it’s such a shame."
