Speaking to BetVictor, Johnson said: "Cole Palmer is definitely in the conversation for being the best player in the Premier League. He’s performed in those games where Chelsea have been struggling. They’ve leant on his shoulders numerous times and he’s always delivered.
"If you put anyone ahead of Mohamed Salah in that conversation then they have to be the best player in the league because he’s set the bar so high. I’d probably say those two are neck-and-neck at the moment."

The Egyptian and Palmer have both seen a slight dip in form over the last few games as Liverpool and Chelsea have both experienced subpar results.
