Everton make shock play for Liam Delap amid interest from Chelsea & Man Utd as David Moyes lays out transfer plans

The young goalscorer has a well publicised £30 million ($39m) release clause in his contract, making him one of the hottest properties on the market this summer. Everton are now entering the fray to secure his services. Chelsea and Manchester United have also been linked with the 22-year-old.

Moyes is keen on refreshing a front line that has struggled for fitness and goals over the past few seasons. While Beto has performed admirably, Dominic Calvert-Lewin has faded away. The latter, who has 11 England caps to his name, is out of contract in the summer and it is believed Moyes will be allowed the funds to secure a player of Delap's price tag.

Delap has impressed for Ipswich this season, banking 12 goals in the Premier League. With two assist to his name, he has been involved in 45% of the Tractor Boys' goals this season.

The young striker will have to ignore the speculation, and keep putting in stellar performances if Ipswich are to have any hope of staying in the Premier League. Twelve points adrift with seven games to go, their great escape attempt continues with a tricky away game at Chelsea on Sunday.
