    THE BIGGER PICTURE

The Red Devils fans were understandably disappointed after yet another dismal outing in the 2023-24 season as several of them vented their frustration on social media against the manager and called for the Dutchman's immediate sacking.

  • WHAT ERIK TEN HAG SAID

The 54-year-old manager, however, insisted that the club owners INEOS group are still behind him, while refuting claims he is close to being sacked.

When quizzed on his future, the ex-Ajax boss told reporters: "We all made togetherness in this decision to stay together, as an ownership, a leadership group in the summer. Also, we made the decision from a clear review what we have to improve and how we want to construct a squad, but we knew it will take some time. We are all there on the same page, in the same boat - myself, the players, the leadership. We are together."
