Ligue 1 side Lille are said to be the latest club to register interest in Dele as he nears a return to action. The former Spurs midfielder has been out for an extended period after picking up multiple injuries while at Everton.

He is currently a free agent but has held talks with the Toffees about signing a new deal on Merseyside, according to the Daily Mail. The 28-year-old is targeting a return to the England squad for the 2026 World Cup.

Dele was once renowned as one of the best midfielders in Europe at the height of his powers. Despite not playing for over a year, he is still gaining interest from multiple clubs across the continent, which is a testament to how good he once was.

There are still terms between Everton and Tottenham meaning that if Dele continues his career with the Toffees, Spurs would be owed performance and appearance-based bonuses unless Everton can negotiate with Daniel Levy to remove those ties.
