‘Let’s go!’ - Cristiano Ronaldo back in trophy-hunting mood after inspiring Al-Nassr to King Cup final & taking goal tally for the season to 44

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner has endured plenty of frustration on the silverware front over recent weeks – suffering an AFC Champions League quarter-final defeat to Al Ain and a Saudi Super Cup semi-final loss to Al-Hilal.

Ronaldo was, however, at his talismanic best once again when bagging a brace in a 3-1 King Cup semi-final win over Al-Khaleej. That success has lined up another meeting with Al-Hilal when major honours will be up for grabs.

Ronaldo has won just one trophy, the Arab Club Champions Cup in 2023, since making a stunning move to the Middle East. He has a chance to add to his medal collection in 2024 and has posted on social media: “King's Cup final! Let's GO!”

Al-Nassr will be looking to Ronaldo for inspiration once again when facing Al-Hilal. They have seen the evergreen 39-year-old maintain remarkable standards this season, with his double against Al-Khaleej taking him to 44 goals across 45 appearances in all competitions.
