A new contract for Pep Guardiola! Man City line up new long-term offer to keep serial title winner - despite coach insisting he is 'closer to leaving' Premier League champions
Manchester City are reportedly going to try and get manager Pep Guardiola to sign a new deal despite the Spaniard hinting at a not-so-distant exit.
Since Guardiola's arrival eight years ago, he has won 17 major trophies at the club, including the Champions League and six Premier League titles. If he were to leave, he would be an almost impossible act to follow, so keeping him for longer makes a huge amount of sense.

The report adds City will place 'no pressure' on the ex-Barcelona boss to sign a new contract and the decision will be his. It is understood he has discussed the matter with at least one key City player over dinner to get their thoughts and advice.
