According toThe Athletic, Chilwell's ill fortune is partly because of his long injury record. The report suggests the 27-year-old's salary demands may put off any potential suitors, while Chelsea themselves value the former Leicester man at a price not many clubs would be willing to pay.

Chilwell made just 13 appearances in the Premier League last term. The 21-cap England international missed 35 games in total across 2023-24 for club and country, including the last few weeks of the campaign. The issues have left him on the fringes of the Blues' squad.

With three years still left on his contract, Chilwell is in a position of strength when it comes to his future. He can sit comfortably in the English capital but if he values minutes on the pitch, he will have to drop his wage demands to make a move happen.
