Chelsea twice surrendered a lead as they were held to a 2-2 draw against Everton on Saturday, ending their winning run under Graham Potter with a result that deals their slim hopes of European qualification for next season another blow.

Joao Felix was the star of the show for the Blues, as the 23-year-old did well to link up with his team-mates and was rewarded with a fine goal in the second half, before Kai Havertz converted a penalty to score for the third successive game after Abdoulaye Doucoure had equalised.

Ellis Simms, though, was on hand to pull the relegation-threatened Toffees level in the 89th minute and leave Chelsea languishing in 10th position.

GOAL rates Chelsea's players from Stamford Bridge...

  • Wesley Fofana Chelsea 2022-23Getty Images

    Goalkeeper & Defence

    Kepa Arrizabalaga (6/10):

Beaten too easily on the corner for Everton's goal and his distribution was questionable.

    Wesley Fofana (6/10):

A strong defensive display overall but was caught flat-footed in the first half and his link-up with Reece James was lacking.

    Kalidou Koulibaly (5/10):

Was solid at the back for the most part, but was beaten to the ball by James Tarkowski for Everton's equaliser before Simms got past him for the second.

    Benoit Badiashile (5/10):

Did not look so reliable up against Demarai Gray as he was easily beaten and looked behind the pace of his fellow defenders.

  • Ben Chilwell Chelsea 2022-23Getty Images

    Midfield

    Reece James (5/10):

A quiet performance from the full-back who looked out of sorts in this game. Not as reliable as he usually is.

    Enzo Fernandez (7/10):

His fantastic diagonal ball helped create the first goal. Played well with his passing range on show.

    Mateo Kovacic (8/10):

Created some chances as Chelsea looked to capitalise on their dominance, was a direct threat on goal and won a lot of balls.

    Ben Chilwell (7/10):

Helped set up the important first goal. Put in a few good and dangerous passes to keep pressure on Everton.

  • Christian Pulisic Chelsea 2022-23Getty Images

    Attack

    Christian Pulisic (5/10):

Made a good run to create the space for the goal and found the net three minutes later, but it was disallowed for an offside in the build up.

    Kai Havertz (6/10):

Converted the penalty to put Chelsea back in the lead but not as involved as he should have been.

    Joao Felix (8/10):

Looked bright with smart moves and passes in the first half, was finally rewarded with a goal after 52 minutes.

  • Subs & Manager

    Conor Gallagher (6/10):

Replaced Pulisic after 62 minutes as Chelsea changed shape.

    Ruben Loftus-Cheek (6/10):

On for the final 10 minutes but did not have much time to impact the game.

    Carney Chukwuemeka (N/A):

A late addition for Joao Felix.

    Trevoh Chalobah (N/A):

Only introduced for the final three minutes.

    Graham Potter (6/10):

His team were dominant throughout but struggled to convert their possession into goals for most of the game. Dropped back a bit too much after taking the lead and were made to pay for it as the visitors equalised twice.
