WHAT HAPPENED?
The Blues continue to invest heavily under chairman Todd Boehly, with well over £1 billion ($1.3bn) being splashed out since his takeover in west London was completed. There is no sign of transfer business slowing down despite the threat of penalties for breaching Financial Fair Play (FFP) and Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR).
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Portugal international Neto has become the latest big-money addition at Chelsea, with the 24-year-old winger being prised away from Premier League rivals. The talented forward endured injury issues during his time at Molineux, but is a proven performer in the English top-flight.
WHAT NETO SAID
Neto has told Chelsea's official website of embracing a new challenge: "I feel really grateful to have joined this club. I have worked really hard in my career to be here and I’m looking forward to getting on the pitch with this shirt."
GettyWHAT NEXT?
Neto joined Wolves in 2019 and took in 135 appearances across five seasons, scoring 14 goals. He becomes another attacking option for Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca, who already has the likes of Raheem Sterling, Mykhailo Mudryk, Noni Madueke, Christopher Nkunku and Cole Palmer at his disposal.
