THE BIGGER PICTURE
Actress Eva Longoria, ex-Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil and baseball star Justin Verlander also form part of the Tylis-Porter family. They are said to have big plans for Equidad, having already invested in Mexican side Necaxa. Reynolds, meanwhile, forms part of another consortium that own a stake in the Alpine Formula 1 team.
DID YOU KNOW?
His latest venture promises to be a testing one, with Bogota-based Equidad battling with Club Deportivo Los Millonarios and Independiente Santa Fe for favour in a city of 7.9 million inhabitants. With that in mind, it is claimed that Reynolds and Co will look to tinker with the club’s name before moving them elsewhere.

WHAT COLOMBIAN REPORTER SAID
Colombian reporter Felipe Sierra has told Sin Boleta of the proposals: "Not only is the name change being evaluated, but also the change of city. It is one of the alternatives, although the name is almost a fact. Next week the document has to be signed to make the transfer official."
WHAT NEXT?
The relocation of sporting franchises is relatively common in North America, particularly in NFL circles, but it remains to be seen how those proposals are received in the South and whether an ambitious project proves to be successful.
