Brazil legend Zico victim of reported robbery in Paris, losing £420,000 worth of items that were snatched from taxi

The 71-year-old was the victim of the attack ahead of the Olympics in Paris, according to Le Parisien. The former attacking midfielder was in a taxi in the French capital when someone approached the car to distract him while another individual reached in to steal from him.

Zico was carrying a suitcase that contained a Rolex watch, a diamond necklace and cash worth €2,000 and $2,000 which was stolen from him. The Selecao legend filed a complaint with the Paris prosecutor's office and an investigation to find the culprits has been opened.

The 71-time Brazil international was invited to the French capital as part of the Brazilian delegation to the Olympic Games. The incident occurred on Thursday night after he left his hotel.

Zico will hope that the Parisian police can find the suspects and return the stolen goods. In the meantime, the former Flamengo star will attempt to put the incident behind him and enjoy the Games.
