'It's still football!' - Bodo/Glimt star laughs off Spurs' concerns over artificial pitch in Norway ahead of Europa League semi-final second leg with Ange Postecoglou's side holding 3-1 aggregate lead

After Tottenham's Europa League semi-final first-leg win over Bodo/Glimt, Spurs' Dejan Kulusevski said it was "strange" they would be playing on an artificial pitch for the return leg in Norway.

“It’s strange, but what are we going to do? It’s the way it is. It’s not something we can change. It’s going to be difficult because we have to have a different plan; it’s a slightly different sport. But we have to find a way to win," admitted the Swede.

Now, Bodo/Glimt's Gundersen has rubbished these worries, saying "it's still football".

“I wonder what he thinks we should do differently in Bodø city. If he had seen where we live, it’s not that easy to have anything other than artificial turf,” he told TV 2. “There’s not that much of a difference. It’s still football and they should be good enough for that. I think they will come very well prepared. For Spurs, it is their biggest match since they were in the Champions League final (2019). It is the most important match of the year. I think they will give everything they have to take us."

Tottenham hold a 3-1 first-leg advantage over Bodo/Glimt and are within touching distance of their first European final since their 2019 Champions League final loss to Liverpool. Manager Ange Postecoglou's job is on the line as Spurs seek their first trophy since 2008.

Before Tottenham face Bodo/Glimt at Aspmyra Stadion next Thursday, Postecoglou's men take on West Ham this weekend.
