The Best Dressed Premier League footballers: Hector Bellerin, Jack Grealish and William Saliba bring the drip

The goalkeepers union is a strong one, but it's not necessarily the best-dressed. Brighton’s Spanish keeper Robert Sanchez breaks the mould, though, with a simple and elevated aesthetic. In the past, Sanchez has been spotted in Louis Vuitton T-shirts, statement shades and footballer’s favourite Fear of God Essentials.

Hector Bellerin has a good claim to be the godfather of the current generation of drippy Premier League players. The full back – who notionally still plays for Arsenal – has been breaking football’s badly-dressed stereotype for years now, even walking for Louis Vuitton back in 2019. Earlier this year, Bellerin also linked up with cult fashion newsletter Blackbird Spylane to discuss his plans for a fashion brand and his “Mach 3+ jawnz enthusiasm.”

Last season was a breakthrough for Chelsea’s Trevoh Chalobah, who can play either in defence or holding midfield. The player’s evolution continued in terms of his fashion sense as well, with him previously sporting Denim Tears’ collaboration with Levi’s, Cactus Plant Flea Market’s take on the Air Force 1 and pieces from Raf Simons, Givenchy and Martine Rose. Chalobah’s Wimbledon ‘fit was also pitch perfect, leaning into the event’s preppy roots with a green Ralph Lauren polo and a yellow jumper.

William Saliba has been an Arsenal player for three years, but this season looks like it will finally be his chance in the first team. While it’s taken him a while to become a Premier League regular, he’s already one of its best dressed players. His Instagram posts show a love for brands like Prada, Dior and the NOCTA line from Drake and Nike.

Marc Cucurella dresses absolutely fine – plain T-shirts, nice matching shirt and shorts sets in summer – but he has the best hair in the Premier League and that surely has to count for something.

Almost all of the players on the list are there for how they dress off the pitch, but Newcastle star Allan Saint-Maximin has a similar drip on the pitch. The Frenchman has worn headbands from Louis Vuitton and Gucci over the course of his three seasons in the Premier League, while he clearly has a soft spot for those luxury houses away from the game as well.

Tom Davies on- and off-pitch exploits might have been overshadowed by his friend Dominic Calvert-Lewin, but the scouser is still one of the league’s best dressed. During his summer holiday to Ibiza this year, Davies was spotted wearing Hungarian label Nanushka, while he’s previously shown off his penchant for Gucci, Loewe, and Liverpool skate brand Lost Art.

Tyler Adams is 23 and from New York, and for that alone is cooler than most people on this list. The new Leeds signing is also on record discussing his obsession with Jordans – which he began collecting aged 10 – and introduced a streetwear-heavy aesthetic to the Bundesliga before moving to the Premier League.

We all remember the pictures of Grealish in Ibiza, but the Manchester City forward has come on a long way since then. Earlier this year he signed a huge deal with Gucci, as well as appearing on the cover of The Face, wearing brands like Prada, Miu Miu and, predictably, Gucci. The shoot cemented his transition from Birmingham bad boy to national heartthrob.

Arguably the poster boy for well-dressed footballers nowadays, Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin went even further by working with stylist Harry Lambert in 2021. The player has become known for his exploits at New York and Milan Fashion Weeks, as well as boundary-pushing clothing choices.

Earlier this year, Golden Boot winner Son Heung-Min was announced as the latest ambassador for Burberry. The news confirmed his rise to the top of the Premier League pile, and his impeccable style – he can often be seen in a preppy-inspired shirt and chino combo – landed him an Arena Homme cover in 2021 and a collaboration with Korean sunglasses label Gentle Monster earlier this year.

Forget about the cardigan, and the “Madchester” gear he keeps wearing, but Guardiola has shown himself to be one of the league’s best dressed managers in recent years. It’s not too long ago that he was frequently seen prowling the touchline while proudly displaying his Stone Island badge or his Rick Owens footwear, and his more relaxed style has helped to usher in a new era that isn’t just tracksuits or shirts and ties.
