  • WHAT HAPPENED?

According to Sport, via Sport Witness, Rashford 'still wants to come' to Barcelona despite impressing on loan at Aston Villa. The 27-year-old has set his sights on the Catalan outfit 'no matter what' but Hansi Flick's side haven't made a final decision on whether or not to make a move for him.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Rashford swapped United for Villa on loan for the second half of this season and some of his displays so far, particularly the second leg against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League quarter-finals, have caught Barca's attention. The report states they are looking for a left winger who can operate across the frontline, but if he were to join, he would have to 'compromise' on his big wages and effectively take a pay cut. Either way, it seems his United career is over.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

The report adds that Barcelona negotiated a loan deal for Rashford in January but that did not go ahead as their priority was to tie some of their players down to new contracts, such as Pedri, Gavi and Ronald Araujo.

    WHAT NEXT?

Rashford, who has three goals and six assists from 16 games at Villa so far, will need to continue his good form if he wants to seal a move to the Camp Nou anytime soon.
