  • WHAT HAPPENED?

Havertz and Odegaard have become close friends and team-mates since the former swapped Chelsea for north London last season. Despite initially struggling, the German became an integral part of the Gunners' side as they attempted to chase down Manchester City to the Premier League title. The pair, whose girlfriends have also become good friends, have decided the best way to relax was in the sun on a boat trip.

  • WHAT THE PAIR SAID

Havertz captioned the post 'Recharging' as he looks to make the most of any little recovery time he has before joining up with the German national squad ahead of the European Championship. Odegaard, whose Norwegian side did not qualify for the tournament, replied in the comments: "Brother."

  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

Havertz will most likely lead the line for Germany as they host the Euros this summer. The German appeared transformed at centre-forward for Arsenal as he registered 15 goals and assists in the Gunners' final 14 games of the season. Having endured a full-on campaign that saw the club fall just short of Manchester City in the Premier League, Havertz will dream of making himself a national team hero.

    WHAT NEXT FOR ODEGAARD?

While Havertz is playing for his national side, Odegaard will have the chance to reflect on his and the rest of side's performances this season. The Arsenal captain has led the club to back-to-back second placed finishes and is determined to go one better next term.
