  • WHAT HAPPENED?

    The Gunners are looking to increase their matchday revenue by adding more seats to the stadium, The Times reports, though doing so in a cost-effective way without renovating will prove a tough task. It has been suggested the club could consider changing their elliptical roof, which is shaped to allow more sunlight to reach the grass.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

    Arsenal have already seen north London rivals Tottenham surpass them as the team with the biggest stadium in the English capital, while West Ham now have a greater capacity, too, after moving into the London Stadium and they have plans to increase that number to 68,000. Manchester United are aiming to build a stadium that could hold 100,000, while Manchester City will bring their limit closer to 60,000 by the end of 2026.
