    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Rice, who featured in the game until the 71st minute when Mikel Merino replaced him, had a decent outing for the Gunners. However, former United States men's national team player and ESPN pundit Janusz Michallik claimed that Blues' Caicedo had a better game than the England international and that the Ecuadorian 'owned' Rice in the midfield battle.

  • WHAT HAS BEEN SAID SAID

Speaking on ESPN after the game, Michallik said, "Moises Caicedo owned Declan Rice, he owned him in the first half. He dealt with him with a cigarette in his mouth."
