Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta responds to 115 financial charges hanging over Man City ahead of Premier League title-deciding final day

As the Premier League season reaches its climax, the spotlight is firmly on City, who are on the brink of securing their historic fourth successive title. Pep Guardiola's troops, known for their late-season surges, have once again found form since January, putting them in prime position to clinch the title. Guardiola and City officials have consistently defended the club, expressing confidence that they will be cleared of any wrongdoing.

Arteta, who previously worked as Guardiola’s assistant at Manchester City, has carefully navigated questions about the charges. When asked about the situation, Arteta maintained a diplomatic stance, saying: "That’s something for the authorities to manage, it’s not for us. If they are playing, it means they can play and they are entitled to play, and that’s it".

The ambiguity surrounding the charges has led to widespread speculation about the possible repercussions for City. Should the reigning champions be found guilty, the consequences could range from financial penalties to points deductions or even the stripping of titles won during the period in question.

As the final matchday approaches, the Premier League title race remains undecided.
