WHAT HAPPENED?
Kompany, who officially took charge of the German club on Wednesday, has taken the initiative to convince Alphonso Davies to sign a new deal amid interest from Real Madrid. The Canada international has been linked with a move away from the Allianz Arena for quite some time, however, the defender could make a U-turn, according to Sky Sports.

The report further claims that the Bundesliga giants have already initiated talks with the player and are closing in on convincing him to stay back beyond his current deal which runs through June 2025.
For now, Real Madrid remain focused on winning the Champions League for a record-extending 15th time as they face Borussia Dortmund in the final at Wembley on Saturday.
