The Canada international is into the last year of his contract at Bayern and now Sky Germany claims negotiations over a new deal there are 'stalling'. The report adds United made an enquiry about the 23-year-old earlier this month and their interest is becoming more concrete. However, Los Blancos still seem the favourites to recruit the left-back when his contract expires next summer.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Davies has, arguably, proven to be one of the best left-backs in the world over the past few years and his contract situation has attracted the interest of Madrid, United, and Barcelona, too. At the end of this season, he will be a free agent and will have a wealth of enticing options to choose from.
WHAT HIS AGENT SAID
Davies' agent, Nick Huoseh, told TSN Soccer recently: "I will not throw insults around when discussing Alphonso's future. My priority is Alphonso's future. I have always said: If Bayern want to discuss something, we can talk about it in the boardroom."
