WHAT HAPPENED?
The Manchester United winger has never shied away from the fact that he is a big CR7 fan. The 20-year-old forward has openly admitted to being a huge admirer of the Portuguese superstar, despite pledging international allegiance to Argentina.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Garnacho is now an international team-mate of eight-time Ballon d’Or winner Messi, having previously worked with Ronaldo at Old Trafford. There were suggestions during the recent Copa final that the youngster was ignoring his illustrious colleague when both found themselves on the bench – with Messi suffering an unfortunate ankle injury during a dramatic clash with Colombia.
DID YOU KNOW?
Garnacho has responded to a social media post in which he was branded “a proper Ronaldo fan boy” by pointing out that he celebrated with Messi – who had a smile on his face and was clearly not looking to give the United starlet the cold shoulder – after a 1-0 win secured another continental crown for Argentina.
