  • WHAT HAPPENED?

    Al-Ittihad have been crowned Saudi Pro League champions for the 10th time in their history after their 3-1 comeback victory over already relegated Al-Raed at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium on Thursday. After an early opener from the hosts, Al-Ittihad battled back with goals from Steven Bergwijn, Danilo Pereira and Abdulrahman Alobud.

    Al-Ittihad have won the title for the second time in three years, with defending champions Al-Hilal having faltered through the middle part of the season. Meanwhile, Ronaldo's Al-Nassr have been way off the mark in terms of their level of performance over the season. Benzema is now set to end the season as Al-Ittihad's top scorer.
