Aaron Ramsdale on the move AGAIN? England goalkeeper wanted by Newcastle only six months after joining Southampton from Arsenal

Despite Southampton’s struggles in the English top flight, Ramsdale is still regarded as one of the country’s top goalkeepers, a reputation that makes him a sought-after asset.

According to The Sun, Newcastle are actively searching for a new goalkeeper to strengthen their squad and are targeting Ramsdale as a potential solution. Nick Pope’s performances have drawn mixed reactions from fans, leading to questions about whether he is capable of helping Newcastle reach the next level. In Pope’s absence due to injury, Martin Dubravka has been filling in but is expected to leave the club for Saudi Arabia before the transfer window closes.

Newcastle’s pursuit of a goalkeeper previously included Burnley’s James Trafford, a highly-rated England Under-21 international. However, Burnley, currently in the Championship, are reluctant to part ways with their star players as they aim for an immediate return to the Premier League under manager Scott Parker. If Burnley achieve promotion, they hope to persuade Trafford to stay at Turf Moor, complicating Newcastle’s efforts to secure his services.
