It was the first action of the year for all four teams, with Vlatko Andonovski's U.S. side not having played any friendlies in its January camp in 2022.

Four of the six games in the round-robin tournament were played in California, at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, while the final two fixtures were held in Texas, at the Toyota Stadium in Frisco.

SheBelieves Cup 2022 rosters

The Czech Republic was the first to announce its roster for the tournament, doing so on February 2. Andrea Staskova was one of the most exciting names in the team, the 21-year-old Juventus striker who has made a strong impression in Italy.

The USWNT revealed its squad on February 3, one that grabbed plenty of attention, missing the likes of Megan Rapinoe and Alex Morgan, with Andonovski focusing on some of younger and fringe players. Defender Abby Dahlkemper was initially in the squad but withdrew due to a back injury, paving the way for teenage starlet Trinity Rodman to be included and make her debut.

On February 4, Iceland announced its roster, featuring players from six different leagues across the world. Gunnhildur Yrsa Jonsdottir was one of the most recognizable names for U.S. fans, the 33-year-old midfielder currently playing for NWSL side Orlando Pride.

New Zealand completed the squad announcements on February 7, its roster headlined by the return of defender Rebekah Stott. Stott, a massively popular and valuable member of her national team, was diagnosed with stage 3 Hodgkin's Lymphoma at the beginning of last year and has undergone successful treatment to pave the way for her incredible recall.
