Olympique Lyonnais came from behind to claim a crucial 2-1 advantage from the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final clash with Besiktas.
Former Liverpool striker Ryan Babel gave the team from Turkey a first half lead, but goals from Corentin Tolisso and Jeremy Morel inside the final 10 minutes saw Bruno Genesio's men turn the tie on its head.
Besiktas, though, will hope that home advantage will prove pivotal as they bid to reach the semi-finals of the Europa League; Senol Gunes' side can be backed at 6/4 (2.50) with Paddy Power to claim the victory that they require if they are to stand any chance of extending their participation in the competition.
Lyon are second favourites with Paddy Power to win the Europa League this term and Genesio's side are a 13/8 (2.63) shot to secure a semi-final spot in style with a triumph in Turkey, while there is 5/2 (3.50) that the match remains level at the end of 90 minutes - a result that would, of course, be enough to see the Ligue 1 side move into the final four.
There is plenty of potential for the goals to flow when these two teams lock horns; Lyon have scored in each of their last 15 matches in all competitions - and there have been at least three goals scored in all but one of their last eight fixtures.
The Ligue 1 side will certainly feel that they will have to score here, having conceded an away goal in last week's first leg clash and Genesio's men can call upon the services of an in-form striker in Alexandre Lacazette.
The France international has scored 24 goals in 27 league matches so far this season, as well as three goals in five matches in this competition thus far - Lacazette is chalked up as a 16/5 (4.20) chance to continue his scoring streak with the first goal in this tie, with 8/13 (1.62) that the 25-year-old grabs a goal at any time.
Besiktas, too, know the route to goal. Gunes' side have drawn a blank in just one of their last 13 fixtures in all competitions - furthermore, Besiktas have bagged at least three goals in each of their last three victories in all competitions.
Lyon staged a stirring comeback on home turf last week to ensure that they are in the driver's seat ahead of Thursday's tussle, but Besiktas are certainly not out of it and the stage is set for an open and entertaining clash between two teams desperate to secure a semi-final spot.
Paddy Power go just 2/5 (1.40) that there are goals at both ends, while the same firm offer 4/9 (1.44) that there are more than two goals scored; better value may lie, though, in backing at least four goals to be scored when this rivalry is renewed.
Lyon have scored 18 goals in five outings in this competition, but have conceded in each of their five Europa League ties thus far and, with so much at stake, there could be a glut of goals in Turkey on Thursday and, so the 5/4 (2.25) quote for more than three goals to be scored could offer decent value here.
