<p>The Brazilian took a blow to the shoulder from Forest's Willy-Arnaud Boly early in the match at the City Ground and continued to play until half-time, when he was replaced by Stefan Ortega. Ederson was seen leaving the City Ground with his arm in a sling and City boss Pep Guardiola gave a pessimistic assessment of the injury after the game.</p>

<p>City were far from convincing against struggling Forest, less than three days after hammering Brighton 4-0.
