The next Galactico? Kylian Mbappe backed for ‘at least five years’ at Real Madrid as former France international rules out Premier League move for PSG superstar

The World Cup-winning forward is in the process of running his contract at Paris Saint-Germain down towards free agency. The Ligue 1 giants have not given up hope of tying their all-time leading goalscorer to fresh terms, but the clock is ticking and no deal has been done.

There has also been talk of Mbappe attracting interest from Premier League heavyweights Liverpool, having admitted to speaking with them in the recent past. But Real have led the race for the 25-year-old’s signature over several years and Spain is expected to be his next port of call if a new challenge is taken on.

Former France international Gallas – who spent time in England with Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham – has told Gambling Zone of a big career call for his fellow countryman: “I think Kylian has a strategy in place from a long time ago. He knows where he’s going to go. He’s just turned 25, so he’ll go to Real Madrid. He’ll go to Real because he said a long time ago that it was his club. Mbappe joined PSG in the same summer of 2017 as Neymar completed his record-breaking €222 million (£190m/$241m) transfer to Parc des Princes. He has since worked alongside eight-time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi and is considered by some to need a move away from his homeland in order to land a Golden Ball of his own.
