    Per Mundo Deportivo, Newcastle are considering a summer move to sign Atletico Madrid midfielder Gallagher, who is valued at £36m by the Rojiblancos. The ex-Chelsea midfielder only moved to Madrid last summer, and has made 50 appearances for the club.

    Per the report, Gallagher is popular at the club and they would like him to stay, but he made just 19 La Liga starts last season, and he is said to be minded to potentially move ahead of the 2026 World Cup as he bids to force his way into Thomas Tuchel's plans. He has won 22 caps for England but was not in Tuchel's first squad.
