Harry Kane parties past 1am as Bayern Munich stars celebrate with champagne, wine and cigars after seeing Bundesliga title become England captain's first trophy

England captain Kane thought he would have to wait until Saturday until seeing the first piece of silverware in his remarkable career confirmed. Bayer Leverkusen were, however, to drop points in their clash with Freiburg.

That result confirmed Bayern’s coronation and means that they will now be presented with the Bundesliga title when playing host to Borussia Monchengladbach. Kane - who sat out a dramatic 3-3 draw at RB Leipzig through suspension - is very much in a celebratory mood.

He was one of four players - along with Eric Dier, Serge Gnabry and Joshua Kimmich - to join manager Vincent Kompany and other members of Bayern’s coaching staff at the ‘Kafer’ restaurant in Munich to watch Leverkusen’s latest Bundesliga outing.

What started out as a quiet gathering quickly became raucous as other players joined the party. According to Sport Bild, “a lavish celebration” involved “champagne, wine and cigars”. It has also been revealed that Bayern players sang along to ‘Mr Brightside’ and songs from the Spice Girls, while also dancing to Michael Jackson tracks.

They belted out ‘We Are The Champions’, with partners joining Bayern stars for the celebrations. It is claimed that Kane and his wife Kate left the party at 1:34am - eight hours after the former Tottenham striker arrived for what turned out to be a historic evening for him.
