    The Reds are close to completing a £116 million ($159m) transfer of Wirtz, who will follow Frimpong to Anfield from Leverkusen this summer. The £100m upfront fee and £16m in add-ons mark a club-record outlay and could break the British transfer record if all bonuses are triggered. The German sensation had long been tracked by Bayern Munich but made clear he favoured a move to Merseyside.
