THE BIGGER PICTURE
Petrovic had an impressive spell on loan at Strasbourg last season and was among the top-performing goalkeepers in Ligue 1. Galatasaray have Petrovic on top of their goalkeeper wish list and have reportedly offered an initial loan move for the Serbian. According to the London club, the current valuation would help them comply with Financial Fair Play (FFP) and Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR).
DID YOU KNOW?
Galatasaray have refused to let go of the idea of bringing Petrovic to Rams Park easily. The club had previously offered to cover €5 million in wages with a €15m (£13m/$18m) buy option. After the proposed move was rejected by Chelsea, the Turkish club increased their offer to cover the wages by €7.5m.
