  • WHAT HAPPENED?

U.S. international Christian Pulisic played hero for AC Milan once again, providing two assists in a 2-0 win over Empoli, a game in which Mexican international Santi Gimenez also got his first goal for the club. The Rossoneri were far from convincing in the first half, but Pulisic's introduction turned things around. He came off the bench at the break and turned in a masterful 45 minutes First, he assisted Rafa Leao with a floated cross to the pack post.

Then, he set up Gimenez for his first Milan goal, a lovely delayed pass - which Gimenez dutifully dispatched into the top corner to open his account for the Serie A side. It was, despite the scoreline, a rather chaotic fixture. Both teams had men sent off in the second half. While some cleaner finishing from Milan might have seen them run away with the fixture.

Fellow U.S. international Yunus Musah also got his 10th Serie A start of the campaign, playing a full 90 minutes in the win.
