  • WHAT HAPPENED?

    The Brazilian was stretchered off during Arsenal's FA Cup loss to Manchester United at the weekend, with it later being confirmed that the forward had suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury. Before the north London derby on Wednesday, the Arsenal players wore special commemorative shirts - having been ridiculed for planning to do so - for the 27-year-old.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

    At times, Arsenal have been struggling for goals in attack this season, particularly after losing Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard for parts of the campaign. If Jesus is out for the rest of 2024-25, their chances of winning trophies this term will have taken a huge blow.
