Juventus have confirmed their sacking of Motta from the post of head coach less than a year after he signed on with the Serie A giants from Bologna. The 42-year-old had an okay start with the Bianconeri, however, their struggles have reached a new low over the last month as they were knocked out of the Champions League and suffered Serie A batterings at the hands of Fiorentina (3-0) and Atalanta (4-0).

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Motta joined Juventus to considerable fanfare last July, but the Bianconerri's on-field performance dampened spirits. With nine games remaining, Juventus are now in a dismal fifth place in Serie A. Under Motta, the Bianconerri played 42 matches in all competitions, winning 18, drawing 16, and losing eight.
Tudor will begin his reign as Juventus head coach on March 24 as he will take charge of the Bianconeri's Monday training session. His first match as head coach will be against Genoa on Saturday, March 29.
