    WHAT HAPPENED?

    South American midfielder Luiz played no part in the Bianconeri’s clash with local rivals Torino – leaving him to watch on from the stands. The 26-year-old has struggled for form and fitness since completing a transfer to Italy in the summer of 2024 and is currently sidelined with muscle fatigue.

    Lehmann completed her own move to Juve during that window, with the Swiss forward forming part of a historic ‘couples transfer’. She has found the going a little easier in Italian football, with a seamless transition made after bidding farewell to WSL side Aston Villa.

    Lehmann was in action on Saturday, as she stepped off the bench in a 3-0 victory for Juventus’ women’s team over AC Milan – persevering their unbeaten record at the top of the table. Later in the day, she joined Luiz to watch the men claim bragging rights in a 2-0 win against Torino.

    Luiz and Lehmann looked to be in high spirits as they strolled hand-in-hand through the Allianz Stadium. There has been talk of the former being allowed to leave Juve on loan in January, although he remains determined to prove his worth to the Serie A heavyweights and their demanding fanbase.
