Gianluigi Donnarumma may have been the darling of many Italian football fans over the past couple of years, but it seems times are now changing following his actions this week.

Milan rule out selling Donnarumma

The teenage goalkeeper rejected a new contract at AC Milan, leading many to accuse both him and agent, Mino Raiola, of greed as he seemingly turns his back on his boyhood club over wages.

And Azzurri supporters have been quick to make their feelings known, with Donnarumma having to deal with missiles made up of fake bank notes during Italy Under-21s clash with Denmark.

The Group B match at the European Championships had to be temporarily halted as the pitch was cleared, but it is clear exactly what fans have made of his decision.

Milan have since insisted that their prize asset will not be sold despite being out of contract next summer, with Real Madrid, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain all being linked with his signature.
