Uruguay v Bolivia Betting: Misfiring hosts looking to finalise World Cup spot

Uruguay will be looking to clinch their place in next summer's World Cup when they welcome Bolivia to the Estadio Centenario for Tuesday's final qualification clash.

While their impressive goal difference means even defeat would be highly unlikely to deny them their place in Russia, La Celeste are 1/8 (1.13) favourites with SportPesa to celebrate qualification with a win in front of their own fans.

With no chance of making it to the World Cup themselves, Mauricio Soria's team are available at 18/1 (19.00) to spoil the party by coming out on top in Montevideo.

Two of the hosts' last three qualifiers have resulted in draws, and there are odds of 15/2 (8.50) on offer on them being held to a stalemate yet again here.

Having seen his side win just one win of their last six games, Oscar Tabarez will be grateful for the strong start to the campaign that saw them lead the group at the halfway stage.

The 70-year-old should be particularly relieved that his team were so prolific in the earlier stages considering goal difference could prove influential in an unusually tight Conmebol qualification group.

After scoring 23 goals in their first 12 games, Tabarez's team have found the net just five times in the subsequent six - with Edinson Cavani not scoring in five and Luis Suarez drawing blanks since last October.

Having conceded just three goals in their previous five matches, La Verde will therefore fancy their chances of consigning their hosts to another frustrating 90 minutes on Tuesday.

In fact, odds of 31/20 (2.55) seem too good to pass up on Bolivia ensuring under 2.5 goals for their sixth game in seven, as well as a third in four for Uruguay.
