Cristiano Ronaldo has come in for criticism from all over the world after a less than impressive showing for Portugal as his side were held to a 1-1 draw by Iceland at Euro 2016.
The Portuguese were huge favourites to win the game in Saint-Etienne and looked on course after Nani gave them the lead. However, Iceland produced an upset thanks to Birkir Bjarnason's equaliser.
Ronaldo was quiet throughout the match and a late header he put straight at goalkeeper Halldorsson, followed by two free-kicks sent straight into the wall, sent Twitter into a post-match frenzy.
Hope Ronaldo finds room in his next "documentary" for the bit where #ISL 33-year-old journeyman Kari Arnason marked him out of the game...— ⚽️ is a Country (@FutbolsaCountry) June 14, 2016
I wonder if ronaldo has secretly been replaced by a small child with whom he collided...— Paul (@UtdRantcast) June 14, 2016
Ronaldo will console himself tonight, by going back to his hotel room, watching the Ronaldo film, and reading his own stats on Wikipedia— GeorgeWeahsCousin (@WeahsCousin) June 14, 2016
Come on Ronaldo, you should be beating a team whose population is less than your weekly salary— FG (@FunnyGooner) June 14, 2016
