'He'd struggle to get in Mansfield's side' - Twitter slams Ronaldo after Portugal draw with Iceland

The Real Madrid star came in for a pounding on social media after failing to impress in St. Etienne as his side were surprisingly held to a draw in their Group F opener

Cristiano Ronaldo has come in for criticism from all over the world after a less than impressive showing for Portugal as his side were held to a 1-1 draw by Iceland at Euro 2016.

The Portuguese were huge favourites to win the game in Saint-Etienne and looked on course after Nani gave them the lead. However, Iceland produced an upset thanks to Birkir Bjarnason's equaliser.

Ronaldo was quiet throughout the match and a late header he put straight at goalkeeper Halldorsson, followed by two free-kicks sent straight into the wall, sent Twitter into a post-match frenzy.
